Radar Love
This track–”Speak A Little Louder,” has been floating around the interweb for about a month and I’ve slowly been getting more and more obsessed. I first came across Diane Birch in 2010 via my friend AskPiper.com. She was sending over a director’s work– Dennis Liu. Since then, Diane Birch has hooked-up with a mélange producers including: Eg White (of Adele fame), ?uestlove and Homer Steinweiss of the Dap Kings. Based on this track, those influences are already apparent. She’s definitely evolved her sound for the better. She’s tapped into a melancholy, painful, nostalgic and serene vibe– simultaneously. I’m hearing elements of Kate Bush and Elizabeth Fraser of Cocteau Twins. This album is now on my radar and I can’t wait to hear more.
